XP Calculator
Calculate Minecraft experience points between levels, convert XP back to levels and progress, and see the minimum, average and maximum number of Bottles o’ Enchanting needed.
Calculation
Minecraft’s XP curve is nonlinear. An enchanting cost of 3 levels is not the same as gaining 3 levels from zero.

Good to know
Level boundaries
Reaching level 30 from zero takes 1,395 XP. Raising 30 to 33 takes 363 XP; the cost of a level grows as you advance.
Experience bottles
A Bottle o’ Enchanting awards 3–11 XP, averaging 7. Minimum and maximum assume every bottle gives the best or worst roll.
Questions
Can I use this for enchanting costs?
The level interval gives the corresponding XP difference. An enchantment deducts levels at your current level, so use that interval rather than counting from zero.
