Player Lookup

Look up a Minecraft Java player by username or UUID. View the skin in 3D, download the skin or head, see the cape and copy player_head commands.

Preview your own skin

Check how a skin looks in 3D before uploading it. Works with 64×64 and legacy 64×32 skins; nothing leaves your browser.

Guide

How to use

  1. 1Enter a Java Edition username or UUID.
  2. 2Drag the model to turn it; toggle the outer layer to see the base skin underneath.
  3. 3Download the skin or a crisp head avatar, or copy a /give command for the player’s head.

Good to know

Java accounts only

Lookups use Mojang’s public API, which only knows Java Edition accounts. Bedrock players joining through Geyser have Floodgate UUIDs instead — the UUID Converter decodes those.

Name history is gone

Mojang removed the name history API in 2022, so no site can show a player’s previous names from official data anymore.

Questions

How do I get a player head in Minecraft?

On 1.20.5 and newer use /give @p minecraft:player_head[minecraft:profile={name:"Name"}]. On older versions use /give @p minecraft:player_head{SkullOwner:"Name"}. The head shows the player’s current skin.

Why does a player have a Steve or Alex skin here?

Players who never uploaded a skin use one of Minecraft’s default skins, which aren’t stored on their profile.

Is my skin uploaded anywhere when I preview it?

No. The skin preview reads the file in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
