Design a Minecraft sidebar scoreboard with a pixel-accurate preview. Export vanilla 1.20.3+ commands with hidden numbers, a TAB plugin config or & code lines.

One row per line, top to bottom. Empty rows become blank lines. &codes, hex and MiniMessage all work.

Hiding the red numbers needs 1.20.3+ (or a plugin like TAB).

Needs 1.20.3+. Put it in a datapack function or run the lines in a command block chain; run it again after editing — the first line removes the old sidebar.

How to use

  1. 1Write a title and up to 15 lines. Use the toolbar or type & codes, hex (&#ff8800) or MiniMessage.
  2. 2Choose whether the red score numbers show. Hiding them needs 1.20.3+ or a plugin.
  3. 3Pick an export: vanilla commands, TAB config, or a plain & code list for other plugins.

How the vanilla version works

Each line is a fake score holder (line.1, line.2…) renamed with /scoreboard players display name, and numberformat blank hides the numbers. Higher scores show on top, so line 1 gets the highest score.

Placeholders

Plugins like TAB fill in %player_name% or PlaceholderAPI values when they draw the board. The preview shows them as plain text; vanilla commands can't use them.

Questions

Why does my sidebar show red numbers?

Minecraft shows each score next to its line. Since 1.20.3 /scoreboard objectives modify <objective> numberformat blank hides them; on older versions you need a plugin that handles the sidebar itself.

How many lines can a scoreboard have?

The sidebar shows at most 15 lines plus the title. Extra lines are simply not drawn.
