Votifier Tester

Test a Votifier or NuVotifier setup by sending a real test vote with a v2 token or a v1 public key, and see exactly why a vote fails: closed port, wrong key or token.

Votifier server

Votifier has its own port (8192 by default), not the game port. Find it in the plugin's config.

NuVotifier config.yml → tokens → default.

Shown to vote listeners. With NuVotifier, a service with its own token uses that token.

The token or key is used for this one request and never stored or logged.

Guide

How to use

  1. 1Enter your server address and the Votifier port from the plugin's config (8192 by default).
  2. 2For NuVotifier, paste the token from config.yml. For classic Votifier, paste the contents of rsa/public.key.
  3. 3Send a test vote and watch your console: a working setup logs the vote and your vote plugin hands out the reward.

Good to know

Open the Votifier port

Server lists connect to the Votifier port from the internet, so it must be open in the firewall and, on shared hosts, allocated to your server. The game port can't receive votes.

Token or public key?

NuVotifier understands both: v2 with a token (preferred, it confirms the vote) and v1 with the RSA public key. The original Votifier only speaks v1 and never answers, so the console is the only proof.

Questions

The test vote arrived but nobody got a reward. Why?

Votifier only receives votes; a separate plugin such as VotingPlugin or SuperbVote gives rewards. Check that it is installed and that the player name matches. Many plugins only reward online players unless offline votes are enabled.

Is it safe to paste my token here?

The token is sent once to your server to sign the test vote and is not stored. Anyone with the token can send votes, so if you shared it somewhere else, generate a new one.
