Server Status

Check if a Minecraft server is online. See its MOTD exactly as in the server list, player count, version, protocol, icon and latency for Java and Bedrock.

Guide

How to use

  1. 1Enter the address players use to join, with a port if it isn’t the default.
  2. 2Leave the edition on Auto to try Java and Bedrock at the same time, or pick one.
  3. 3Share the result page: every check has its own link, like /minecraft/server-status/hypixel.net.

Good to know

SRV records are followed

If a domain has a _minecraft._tcp SRV record, Java clients connect to the host and port it points to. The checker does the same and shows where it ended up.

Latency is from our server

The ping is measured from the data center that ran the check, so it tells you whether the server answers quickly, not how fast it will be for you.

Questions

Why does my server show as offline when it’s running?

Usually the port isn’t reachable from the internet: a firewall, a router without port forwarding, or a host that only exposes another port. Also check that enable-status=true in server.properties and that server-ip is empty.

Can I check a server on my local network?

No. For safety the checker never connects to private or local addresses such as 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or localhost.

How often is the status updated?

Each check pings the server live. Results are reused for up to 30 seconds so many visitors at once don’t flood your server; use Check again for a fresh ping.

Does it work with BungeeCord, Velocity and Geyser?

Yes. Proxies answer status pings like a normal server, and Geyser answers Bedrock pings, so a network running both shows up under either edition.
