DNS & Port Check
Diagnose public Minecraft server addresses with DNS records, Java SRV targets and a bounded TCP connection test. Explicit ports override SRV records and private networks are blocked.
Server network diagnostics
The connection is tested from Nurshia’s server. An open TCP port does not confirm Minecraft is running. Bedrock uses UDP; use Server Status to check Bedrock.
Guide
How to use
- 1Enter a public hostname or IP, optionally with a port. Use [IPv6]:port for IPv6.
- 2Run the check and review A, AAAA, CNAME and _minecraft._tcp SRV records.
- 3Read the chosen target and TCP connection result. Use Server Status to check the Minecraft protocol and Bedrock.
Good to know
SRV and explicit ports
Without an explicit port, Java SRV records choose a target by priority and weight; otherwise port 25565 is used. A port in your input bypasses SRV. Up to one IPv4 and one IPv6 address are tested.
Meaning of the result
An open TCP connection proves only that a listener accepts connections. Refused, timeout and unreachable results can come from firewalls, hosting egress restrictions or the server itself. The test runs from Nurshia, not your device. Private and reserved IPs are blocked; the API allows 12 checks per minute per IP per instance.
