Nurshia Launcher

Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Nurshia Launcher runs on your computer. It has no accounts of its own, shows no ads and collects no analytics. This page lists what it stores and which services it talks to.

On your computer

Your settings, profiles, game files, skin library and game logs are stored in the launcher's data folder:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\NurshiaLauncher
  • Linux: ~/.local/share/nurshia-launcher
  • Microsoft sign-in tokens are kept in your system's keychain (Windows Credential Manager, or Secret Service on Linux). If no keychain is available, they are saved to a file only your user can read.
  • Removing an account in the launcher deletes its tokens. Deleting the data folder removes everything else.

Signing in with Microsoft

You sign in on Microsoft's website by entering a one-time code. The launcher then receives tokens from Microsoft and exchanges them with Xbox Live and Minecraft services for your Minecraft profile: your username, UUID, skin, cape and whether you own the game.

  • The launcher never sees your password and does not ask for your email address.
  • These tokens are only sent to Microsoft, Xbox Live and Mojang.

Services the launcher talks to

To do its job the launcher connects to these services. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Mojang and Microsoft: game versions, libraries, sounds and textures, the Java runtime, sign-in, and skin or cape changes you make.
  • Fabric, Forge and NeoForge: mod loader files, only for profiles that use them.
  • Modrinth: when you search for or install mods, resource packs, shaders and modpacks.
  • Minecraft servers in your server list: to show their status. Like the game's multiplayer screen, the server sees your IP address.
  • nurshia.com: the list of featured servers.
  • The Nurshia cosmetics server: only if cosmetics are on (see below).

Cosmetics

When you pick a Nurshia cape, the launcher proves you own your account the same way Minecraft servers do. It tells Mojang you are joining with a one-time code, and our server asks Mojang to confirm it.

  • Your Minecraft sign-in token is only sent to Mojang, never to our server.
  • Our server stores your Minecraft UUID, username and chosen cape, so players with the cosmetics mod can see your cape. Anyone can look up which cape a UUID has.
  • In the game, the cosmetics mod asks our server about the players around you, by UUID.
  • You can turn cosmetics off in Settings. The mod is then removed from your profiles.

Discord

If Discord status is on, the launcher tells the Discord app on your computer what you are playing: the Minecraft version, the mod loader and, if you joined one, the server address. You can turn it off in Settings.

What we don't do

No ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking. We don't sell or share your data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
